You have the idea. You have the drive. But figuring out what to do next? That can be the hard part, trust me I know a lot about this part. I was truly stuck in the mud until I met with Tailla and she honestly got me jumpstarted and excited again about moving forward with my business idea.

Maybe you’re starting a business, considering a new career, or wondering how artificial intelligence could help with your everyday work. Sometimes, moving forward begins with a little guidance—and someone who can help you see a path through the possibilities.

That is where Tailla Strawn, founder of PowerPath Collective, comes in.

Tailla describes her work as a combination of workforce development, operations, technology education, and helping people communicate with confidence. Across those areas, her focus is helping people, programs, and organizations grow.

Through PowerPath Collective, that work takes a practical shape. Her organization offers support with communication, career growth, presentations, digital skills, AI, and small-business needs. Its offerings include short learning sessions, focused project support, mentoring, and longer programs for people who need more time to build their skills.

One offering has a name that I can totally understand and may feel familiar to anyone with an unfinished project: “Bring Me Your Mess.” It is a focused, 60-minute working session built around something that has stalled—a résumé, presentation, business offer, workflow, or document—with the goal of helping move it forward.

When you are sitting there staring at a screen and wondering where to begin, THAT is the kind of concrete help that can make the next step feel more manageable.

    A community builder with a teacher’s touch

Tailla’s work also reaches into technology education. As the winner of the 2026 Tech Community Impact Award at the Nebraska Women in Tech Awards, the Nebraska Tech Collaborative recognized her work as Senior Lead Instructor at Code Black Tech.

The organization described how she adapted instruction to meet adult learners’ needs, using interactive tools, AI, and real-world applications. It also recognized her mentorship and efforts to expand technology career opportunities for Black and underrepresented communities.

For Black Omaha readers exploring entrepreneurship or a career change, that work touches a familiar need: access to learning that connects with real life, along with people who can help you put it to use.

An invitation to explore what comes next

This fall, PowerPath Collective is bringing entrepreneurs, small-business owners, and aspiring founders together for the What’s Next Is Ours Summit 2026.

With the theme “Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and the Future of Work,” the summit will cover AI build labs, money conversations, mindset and capacity, business protection, and community resources and connections.

Whether you already run a business or are still working through an idea, those topics offer plenty of reasons to join the conversation.
