About This Opportunity
The 2026 BigIdea! Pitch Contest from the UNO Center for Innovation, Entrepreneurship & Franchising gives UNO/UNMC students with an innovative and original business idea the chance to practice and deliver a concise 90-second pitch. Virtual preliminary rounds run September–October, with the final round on November 11, 2026, 4:00–8:00 PM. Finalists compete for $1,000 in cash prizes followed by judge Q&A. Entries are individual rather than team submissions; a prototype or MVP may be shown, but slide decks are not permitted. Applications are open; UNO currently lists "Submit Application" without a published cutoff date on the program page.
